1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using StudyTrail, or visiting our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using the application.
2. License & Service Scope
StudyTrail grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and limited license to install and use the mobile application on your personal devices solely for educational and productivity purposes.
3. User Responsibility & Local Data
Because StudyTrail prioritizes user privacy by storing study logs, timers, and notes locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining device security, setting up biometric/passcode locking if desired, and performing regular exports and backups of your study data.
4. Use of AI Companion (Buddy)
The AI study companion is intended to provide supportive academic tips, motivation, and conceptual study assistance. You agree not to submit malicious, abusive, unlawful, or infringing prompts. Buddy responses are provided for general educational assistance and should not replace accredited academic instruction or certified professional advice.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All graphics, logos, branding, user interfaces, documentation, and underlying code of StudyTrail remain the exclusive property of StudyTrail and its creators, protected under international copyright and trademark laws. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or redistributing the software without explicit written permission is strictly prohibited.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. StudyTrail shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from device failure, data loss, or reliance on study timers and AI responses.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to revise or replace these Terms of Service at any time to reflect software updates or app store guidelines. Continued use of StudyTrail following any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
